Never alone

"Many, many men have been just as troubled morally and spiritually as you are right now. Happily, some of them kept records of their troubles. You'll learn from them - if you want to. Just as someday, if you have something to offer, someone will learn something from you. It's a beautiful reciprocal arrangement. And it isn't education. It's history. It's poetry."
This quote is from 'The Catcher in the Rye', a novel by American author J.D. Salinger. The book describes the journey of one adolescent and the feelings of curiosity, doubt, loneliness, and angst he experiences along the way. Many times he feels lost and disappointed, but occasionally he finds little messages that lifts his spirits. I appreciate this quote because sometimes we may feel like we are drifting, but if we look carefully, we are actually never alone.
